The mind. We all have one. Our minds are the most POWERFUL vehicle through which we can create the lives we love. So why are so many people living miserable lives?
The culprit: our minds.
And what tricky things our minds are.
They can build us up or break us down.
They say, the mind is a terrible thing to waste.
But I say, the mind is also a terrible thing to use as a weapon of self-harm.
So many times in my life, I used my mind (specifically my thoughts) as weapons against myself, my happiness, my dreams, my sense of peace. Have you ever taken a day to watch your thoughts? Really watch them. We would never let anyone talk to us the way most of us talk to ourselves.
What does the tape of your mind say to you?
Most of us say awful, horrible, nasty things to ourselves. And these thoughts shape our realities. Whether you believe it or not, this is a truth. Our thoughts are things. And they help to create our realities. If you don’t like your life, it’s time to clean up your thoughts.
The beautiful thing about the power of our thoughts to make our lives miserable is that:
- We can change them.
- We can use positive thoughts to create a NEW life…one that we WANT to live. One that gets us to jump out of bed in the morning, EXCITED about the day ahead.
And it’s not rocket science…it just takes discipline and patience.
One easy way to help your mind get on the positive thinking and manifesting bandwagon is do feed it some positive personal development (something I learned through my coaching journey). You should be reading at least one book per month. I know, I know, you’re too busy to read personal development (aka PD). But trust me when I say…you can’t afford NOT to if this post is resonating with you. And hello….have you ever heard of audio books? Yep. Problem solved. You can just listen while you drive, like I do. There are even apps you can put on your phone that make it really easy to both buy and listen to some PD. Authors I highly recommend are Gabrielle Bernstein and Jen Cincero. These authors get it, and if you listen to them enough, you will too. Hey what have you got to lose, other than those negative thought patterns that are TOTALLY holding you back from living the life you deserve.
So go out there and get some positive thoughts flowing and watch your life transform. You can thank me later. <3
